so im going to North India and Rajasthan for a month, primarily the Himalayas in July/August this year, and im trying to decide on weather i should risk taking my DSLR with me. Yeahh, the enviroment will be amazing to shoot, but if it breaks, im gutted and its quite a bit of weight that i will have to carry on my back for a month, along with alot of other kit, and it might take up space which may be needed for something else..
any ideas on what I should do?

so im very new to deviant art, but already I am enjoying the format of the site and community to a great extent. Ive got a select few photos up, all edits, and im utterly suprised at the feedback I have recieved, people favoriting and all! (which is probly not at all that big a deal compared with other photographers and artists on the site).
anyway, so I got a fujifilm finepix dslr for Xmas, which is awesome. im new to photography and still trying to place my roots and get to grips with the whole aspect of things. I really enjoy shooting stuff outside, so I will continue on with this, i guess. my photos are not great at the moment, still try

A lot of my work is old fan boy game stuff cos I started publishing my work on the net and then I started going requests for people whos interests inculded games I enjoyed in my childhood so I got a little carried away C: Like Legend of Zelda, Star Wars and Sonic N such. But I do have some decent photography that may interest you.
